“We read books to find out who we are. What other people, real or imaginary, do and think and feel... is an essential guide to our understanding of what we ourselves are and may become.”

Wonderful website! So fun looking through all the categories of great books. I struggled to control myself from having the hugest order of books. The delivery was quick and I loved the note and business card.

A richly curated anthology tracing the evolution of garden design and philosophy, Gardens Ancient and Modern brings together writings from antiquity to the 19th century. Edited by Albert Forbes Sieveking, this volume offers a sweeping literary survey of the garden as both art form and cultural symbol, featuring excerpts from poets, philosophers, and horticulturalists across centuries. A must-have for lovers of landscape history, garden design, and classical literature.
